Eight Eleven Group has signed a 7,500-square-foot office lease at HUB640 in Milwaukee’s Westown neighborhood. This will be the second office in Milwaukee for the Indianapolis-based staffing and consulting firm.

The last gasp for Milwaukee department stores was the closing of Boston Store, at the corner of Vel R. Phillips and Wisconsin Avenues, on Aug. 29, 2018, after nearly 125 years on the site. Now its former home is being fully redeveloped.

HUB640, a recently redeveloped office building (formerly the Boston Store and Bon-Ton headquarters building) in downtown Milwaukee’s Westown neighborhood, recently welcomed its first tenant and finished its amenity space.

North Wells Capital LLC has announced that North Shore Healthcare (NSHC) has signed a 10-year lease at HUB640.

The arts continue to grow on West Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee as another mural was completed in the neighborhood. The latest is in the former Boston Store building that Chicago developer North Wells Capital is renovating to attract new companies.

Less than a year after The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. shut down its operations, its former headquarters building and Boston Store in downtown Milwaukee has been cleared and renovated, and is ready for new retailers and businesses.

The 120-year-old Milwaukee building home to the corporate offices of The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. and its longtime Boston Store will be renovated and rebranded as HUB640 once the wind-down of the retailer is complete.
